Tulane Addition –
New construction and Remodel
This master bedroom addition and remodel required a unique footprint
due to the desire to save two existing mature trees and setback requirements.
The unusual and distinct design was developed based on the the client’s
desire to make the addition separate and distinct from the original
house design. The original house was designed in the 1950s.
The simple solution resulted in shape that contained few right angles
and created a wonderful new private enclosure (patio). In addition,
a water collection feature was designed to capture rain run off
from the
addition roof for future use in the garden. A substandard addition
was removed and some interior remodeling was completed as well to
create new
workspaces for the owner.
Brown+Wootton provided both design and
construction services. ^top |
