Charlene Brown, AIA, GB-98

Charlene Brown is the founder and owner of Brown+Wootton. Charlene is a licensed architect and general contractor. She has held her architecture license since 1997 and her contractor’s license since 1996. She also holds certificates in masonry restoration. Charlene has a BA in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture (MArch) from the University of New Mexico and has lived in New Mexico since 1978.

Kenneth Wootton,
Construction Specialist

Ken Wootton has worked in the field for over 25 years. He has knowledge on many construction systems including adobe, masonry, rammed earth, frame, and insulated concrete forms. Ken is knowledgeable in all aspects of construction from site and utility work development to finish work and fine carpentry. Ken is a fourth generation New Mexican.

Karol Walkington, Interiors

Karol Walkington is the newest member of our team and has over 34 years of interior design in commercial and residential. Karol also co-owned and managed of a 12,000 sq. ft. retail interior design showroom located in Albuquerque. After earning her BFA from the University of New Mexico she has worked on several award winning projects.

Other Team Members

Brown+Wootton depend and work with a trusted network of consultants to implement many of our projects. These members include plumbers, electricians, landscapers, concrete specialists, carpenters, cabinet suppliers, plasterers, counter installers, and more. And, while these entities are too numerous to list, it reflects the "team" aspect of the work we provide to our clients.
